Monotypes are a unique cross between painting and printmaking resulting in a one of a kind piece. The process includes painting ink on a plate and transferring it to paper. The sky and background of this piece was painted in watercolor, and the volcano and trees were printed on top as a monotype. Frame under glass recommended for all works on paper.
