Time & Place Triads are limited edition, tricolor watercolor palettes crafted to evoke the temporal experience of the hues & textures in a landscape. Each triad is inspired by deep observation of places I have witnessed, brought to fruition by over a decade of intensive (& ever-unfolding) pigment & material research.
These watercolors are formulated with a gum arabic binder & a precise mixture of (mostly) natural pigments & inert minerals with visual character, then harmonized into a triad of color. Each palette features one earth pigment that I foraged & processed myself.*

The Winter Skies Triad is inspired by the icy prism of winter & the frosty, fiery spectrum of color that blooms across the sky each morning & evening. This palette is designed with magic in the mixtures! Instead of creating green, this yellow & blue mix to a warm steely grayish blue in this luscious, playful take on the primary triad.
*Buttercream- pale yellow buttercream, thick milky paint quality that can build up to brittleness. Opaque, low tinting strength. Looks like yellow but mixes like a soft white. Pigment: foraged in Cyprus.
Watermelon Spritz- fizzy watermelon pink with a fine micaceous sheen, stains then spreads with more water, dries in tiers. Cake feels light and foamy. Translucent. Pigment: yellow ochre, quinacridone red/yellow.
Blue Ice- true royal blue with a touch of warmth, dries with subtle granulation & tendrils of migrating color. Wets slick & shiny, highest saturation & tinting strength in the triad. Pigment: ultramarine blue, manganese violet.
